Method
Make the oat base
- In a jar, combine rolled oats, milk, cocoa powder, peanut butter, and honey.
- Stir well until the cocoa and peanut butter are evenly dispersed.
Chill overnight
- Refrigerate the jar overnight, about 8 hours, so the oats soften into thick layers (keep covered).
Serve
- Before serving, top with banana slices so they sit on the surface.
- Stir again and enjoy cold.
Notes
For a thicker texture, use a slightly more viscous milk (or let it chill the full 8–12 hours). Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days; freezing isn’t recommended because bananas won’t hold texture. If you want a dairy-free option, swap milk for an unsweetened plant-based milk with similar fat content.
