Prep and fill
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Roll the pizza dough out into a large rectangle.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and Italian seasoning evenly over the dough, then layer the pepperoni slices on top.
- Roll the dough up tightly into a log, then slice into 1-inch pinwheels.
Bake and finish
- Arrange the roll ups cut-side up on a sheet pan.
- Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with grated Parmesan.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, until golden and the cheese is bubbling.
- Serve warm with marinara sauce, for dipping.
Notes
For cleaner, tighter pinwheels, chill the rolled log for 10 minutes before slicing. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; reheat in the oven or air fryer until hot and the cheese is soft again. Freezing is yes—freeze cooled roll ups up to 2 months and reheat straight from frozen. For a gluten-free option, use a gluten-free pizza dough and follow the same bake time until golden.
