Ingredients

Grilled peaches
  • 4 peaches, ripe Halved and pitted.
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted Use melted butter to help brown sugar caramelize.
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar For caramelized topping.
  • 1 tsp cinnamon Dust and mix into brown sugar.
  • 1 vanilla ice cream For serving.

Equipment

  • 1 grill

Method

Prep and season
  1. Preheat a grill to medium heat, keeping the grates hot enough for quick caramelization.
  2. Brush the cut side of each peach half with melted butter so the topping clings and browns.
  3. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over the peaches to create a fragrant, jammy crust.
Grill and serve
  1. Grill cut-side down for 3–4 minutes until caramelized with clear grill marks and softened edges.
  2. Serve warm immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Pro tip: choose peaches that yield slightly when pressed so they soften without turning mushy on the grill. Refrigerate leftovers in a covered container up to 2 days; rewarm briefly over medium heat or in a skillet just to loosen the caramel. Freezing is not recommended because the peaches can become mealy after thawing. For a dairy-free option, use olive oil instead of butter and serve with coconut-based vanilla ice cream.
