Ingredients

Chocolate layer base
  • 2.5 cup milk chocolate chips Use milk chocolate chips for a smooth, creamy melt.
  • 1 cup crushed pretzels Crush to a mix of small and medium bits for texture.
  • 1 cup dried apple chips, chopped Chop into bite-size pieces so they distribute evenly.
  • 0.5 cup caramel sauce Drizzle generously for visible caramel ribbons.
  • 1 flaky sea salt, for topping Sprinkle lightly to balance sweetness.

Equipment

  • 1 sheet pan

Method

Prepare the pan and melt chocolate
  1. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Melt the milk chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-30 second increments, stirring between each until smooth and fully melted.
  3. Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the prepared baking sheet, forming a rectangle about 1/4-inch thick.
Add toppings
  1. Sprinkle the crushed pretzels and chopped dried apple chips evenly over the chocolate so every bite has crunch and fruit pieces.
  2. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the top and sprinkle with flaky sea salt for a sweet-salty finish.
Chill and break
  1. Transfer to the refrigerator and chill for at least 1 hour, or until firm, so the bark sets cleanly.
  2. Break into pieces before serving for bite-size no-bake dessert portions.

Notes

For a cleaner break, chill until truly firm (longer than 1 hour if your fridge runs warm). Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days; freezing is not recommended because the pretzels may lose crunch. For a dairy-free swap, use dairy-free chocolate chips and a dairy-free caramel sauce.
